Relaxed Body & Mind

In order for the mind to be comfortable during meditation, the body must also be comfortable. Do not be led astray by those who say that you must adapt to a certain position to achieve success. Whether it is full lotus, half lotus, Burmese, chair, reclining, or another position that feels good to you, it makes no difference in relation to quality of meditation as long as you keep a fairly straight back which is conducive for good breathing. A relaxed, at peace body will give the mind a chance to become relaxed and at peace. No amount of straining, aching joints or muscles, or severe pain has ever liberated a mind.
