Should we have goals? Perhaps one, that to be one with the Tao. But even this lofty goal can get in the way of true practice. We are often too quick to point to one experience or feeling and believe that we have accomplished something. That is the ego that is craving achievement, a sense of pride. It is the card players motto to not count their money at the table. Just quietly accumulate and you will get where you wish to go.
