Playing in 3/4 Time

If we play an instrument and join a band playing, we must adapt to the music the band is playing in order to be in harmony. This tells us that we must adapt to the environment to be in harmony instead of expecting the environment to change for us. If music is in 3/4 time, it would be foolish to try to play in 4/4 time.

When there is sunlight, enjoy the sunlight. When it is moonlight, delight in the moonlight. To expect things to be what they cannot be is to live in frustration; to try to force things fruitless.

Keep your instrument in tune and be ready to sight read. Be ready for whatever arrangement comes your way. Keep your guitar strings neither too tight or slack for a string not properly tuned will not provide proper pitch.
