Escape In Time

People are always dreaming of the future, longing for the past. The good old days were not always good. There is no guarantee that the future will be good either. It is curious that so many want to escape the present. We cannot touch yesterday or tomorrow. We have now. Most of the time, we have control over whether it is a good now or not. Yes, there is adversity. However, most of our time is spent doing what we may consider mundane things. Yet it is these mundane things that we can find great joy in. If we are mindful of what we are doing, how we are feeling, we can get the extraordinary out of the ordinary. We can make the present most enjoyable. Stop trying to escape and instead enjoy what you have in front of you.
