The harshest judgments we make should be reserved for ourselves. If we are not perfect, how can we possible expect others to be so? The person who thinks of themselves as being perfect have an imperfect view. Even if we think ourselves as being imperfect, we are often quick to forgive ourselves for mistakes or blame others, but we can often be unforgiving of others who may make the same mistake. To expect perfection in anything but the Tao is to have an unrealistic approach to the world we live in.
