Choices

To look for a tree and its accompanying shade in the midst of a hot summer day is an excellent one. To look for a tree to hide under in the midst of a thunderstorm is a most foolish one. There is a time and place for everything. Knowing the correct time and place for things is extremely critical. To zig when you should zag can lead to unfortunate results. There are millions of choices to be made in our lifetime so it is prudent of us to choose wisely. The decisions we make today can have consequences one way or the other later. The teachings of the Dao can help you to make good choices and avoid pitfalls and crevices that can trap us. The best way to get out of something is to not get yourself into it in the first place.
