Showing Itself

A single tree cannot make a forest any more than a forest can make a single tree. Praise for the tree that can in winter stand naked before the masses, with no shiny nor pretty leaves to cover it or to hide its irregularities. It stands in all its glory, twisted branches, crooked limbs, and all, not caring what others think or may whisper to each other. It is unique and proud of every inch of itself. It is a friend to all the birds in the sky that wish to rest upon it. It provides shade to the sun beaten man during the dog days of summer. This tree, it is quite content indeed.
