Silence is a true
friend who never betrays according to Confucius. Too many people lack silence
and solitude. It seems sometimes that people are getting paid by the word. It
is important to find a quiet place where you can calm the mind. Even public
libraries these days aren’t quiet anymore. If you can, go out to your car at
lunch and have a quiet respite from the noise. Let the mind breathe. Make the
most of silence and quiet. It is most difficult to achieve inner peace in a
cacophony of noise. Like Oliver Hardy sometimes said, "If you're going to make noise, do it quietly!"
