Gary, Indiana

The factories that once employed thousands are now empty. The smokestacks that belched smoke into the sky now are motionless. The only thing working there now is memories. The giant buildings sit idle, rusting and deteriorating, crumbling icons of a bygone era; paint peeling, broken glass; time has passed it by. Things we think can be counted on often cannot be counted on. Cities such as Gary, Indiana have learned this the hard way. The material items of our lives have a way of de-materializing. This is the ebb and flow of the Dao.
