A Place For Reason

What is the place of reason in the great world of the mystic, if there is a place for it at all? Too much reason kills any chance of something taking on some kind of magical quality, yet believing that the stars cause all things to happen seems kind of foolhardy. Perhaps it is a mix, not like the cocktail you are holding, but a more exotic and esoteric mix that goes beyond our comprehension; fate and happenstance combining forces to guide our lives. Man always looks for the rational in the irrational, sense among the nonsense, order in a universe full of chaos.
