It's Late and Early

It’s late now, or maybe it’s early; it depends on your point of view. I just finished off a bottle of cheap sake. The crickets have magically turned into birds, and these birds are singing and the sky is beginning to brighten. It probably isn’t the best way, but it’s my way, and I’m sure there’s lots of worse ways. The sun doesn’t ask questions. The moon leaves you alone. All the answers we need are there if we look close enough. I finish my writing and close my eyes and drift off into another world for in every gain there is loss, and in every loss there is gain.
