No Great Secrets

There are no great secrets to meditation, no matter how much certain people tell you there is. It is not as complicated as some make it seem. Of course, you can make it as formal as you like, but for most of us I consider meditation to just be sitting quietly and observing or maybe not even observing at all. It is letting the mind rest; rest from thinking, scheming or doing whatever our mind might do. Whether you do this looking out a window at the world, or by closing your eyes doesn’t matter. What matters is that you give your mind a rest. Let it be tranquil for a while. Try to just let the mind be quiet and not think of anything. It isn't easy as it sounds nor should it be as hard.
