After a cold day on the slopes, the lodge is a mighty inviting place to warm up. There’s a large fireplace in this one, the biggest fireplace I’ve ever seen. A crackling fire burns. I sit on a sofa near it and sip hot cocoa. Outside, the wind has picked up and the snow is starting to fall. I didn’t expect that. But, it’s a short walk to the cabin so there isn’t any particular hurry to get there. I look at the fire and out the window at the snow falling and occasionally the people although I don’t find them nearly as interesting.
