How can we be sure of anything in our little world when the tide comes and goes, always changing? How can we know the future when the wind that blew from the south so warmly yesterday, now blows cold from the north today? Airplanes carry people from city to city, country to country, hemisphere to hemisphere and we think nothing of it but yet planes crash and lives are lost. There is no certainty and perhaps that is what scares us most. Life promises us nothing and we spend so much time looking for these promises. Even if we are lucky to get them, promises are sometimes broken. Life is disappointing like that.
