The nights grow longer this time of year and the hours of daylight grow shorter. It gets colder and the fall and winter seasons are approaching. As there is less time to spend outside working in the garden or some other endeavor, there is more time to be inside. Once we are inside we can perhaps find a little more time to meditate and relax and let go of those things that seek to control us and our thoughts. Meditation is one way that we can clear our mind of impurities and face the travails of life with calm and clarity.
