Unity

 Plains Indians Teepee Tipi
I am going to venture that the man who sat on the ground in his tipi meditating on life and its meaning, accepting the kinship of all creatures, and acknowledging unity with the universe of things was infusing into his being the true essence of civilization.

- Luther Standing Bear, Oglala Lakota Sioux (1868-1939)

There's no question that meditation is a great way of understanding one's self and understanding one's place in this universe. In reality, there is no 'we' and no separate 'universe'. We are part of the universe...we are one...unified. People who understand that are kinder, more compassionate, and free from the burdens of duality.
