Chuck Wagon

Chuck wagon isn’t just a type of dog food…the name came from the old west where chuck wagon was a type of "field kitchen" covered wagon that was used for the storage and transportation of food and cooking equipment…many a chuck wagon traveled on the prairies of the United States…such wagons were part of a wagon train that fed settlers or traveling workers such as cowboys when they were driving cattle across the U.S…. Chuck wagon food and hence dinners usually included things like salted meats and beans…it also carried plenty of coffee...they had beef or other meat if they killed an animal on the way…the wagon also had a water barrel and tools to kindle wood that would heat and cook food.
