Have you ever heard or experienced
lucid dreaming?...a lucid dream is a dream during which the dreamer is aware of
the fact that they are dreaming…during this lucid dreaming period, the dreamer
may be able to exert some degree of control over the dream characters,
narrative, and environment…this can be quite an interesting experience…of
course, some skeptics are quick to point out that is not a state of sleep, but
of brief wakefulness, or "micro-awakening…there are different ways that
one can be aware that they are having a lucid dream… they have an awareness of the dream state itself, they KNOW they are
having a dream…they are aware that they are able to make decisions during this
time…they are quite aware of the self…they are aware of the dream
environment…and they may even know the meaning of the dream itself…sometimes
artists or poets will realize a moment of creation and then be able to remember
the creation vividly once they wake up…I have had lucid dreams where I will
grow tired of the dream (it may be silly or meaningless) and I will ‘think’ to
myself that I will just wake up…and I have!...perhaps the same has happened to
you.
